Belonging for all
We’re creating a culture in which everyone has a fair and equal opportunity to thrive.
We believe happiness and success – both personal and professional – are achieved by breaking down barriers to create a safe, open and trusting environment where we can all belong. When we are each valued for our own contribution, we’re doing better for our business, people and communities.
We take a holistic approach by supporting well-being, equity, inclusion, and community resilience. Our renewed inclusion strategy, Belonging for All, is structured around three pillars: Opening Doors, Empowering Women and Valuing Perspectives.
This means…
We nurture talent from all backgrounds, supporting social mobility and inclusion, in Cornwall and beyond.
Through our apprenticeship and early careers programmes, we're helping people to develop skills and build careers close to home. Since 2022, we've welcomed 24 apprentices into the business, and 84% of apprentices recruited into our Falmouth-based teams have gone on to secure permanent roles. We were also proud to be named Large Employer of the Year at the Cornwall Apprenticeship Awards 2025.
We provide flexible working, enhanced annual leave and gender-neutral family leave, alongside long-service recognition and opportunities to volunteer and give back to communities.
With 82% of our workforce identifying as women, we live our commitment to equity by breaking down barriers for women’s careers in Retail.
Our annual Gender Pay Gap reporting helps us understand patterns across our organisation and identify areas where we can continue improving representation, progression and opportunity.
We have also developed support and resources focused on women’s health and wellbeing, reducing barriers to thriving at work.
We're committed to supporting the rights and wellbeing of women throughout our supply chain, working with partners who share our values and commitment to fair working environments.
Representing uniqueness and celebrating difference within our communities is important to us at Seasalt.
We're proud to partner with Cornwall Pride, the largest LGBTQ+ charity in Cornwall, sponsoring events and supporting initiatives that champion inclusion and belonging.
We are a Disability Confident Committed employer, contributing to improving how disabled people are recruited and supported in the workplace.
Our annual engagement survey gives employees a direct voice in the initiatives that affect them. In 2025, 92% of colleagues took part in our survey, helping us identify opportunities to improve wellbeing, ways of working and the overall employee experience.
